She’ll Be Coming Round the Mountain (and variations)

The original may be better known, but I sing The Story Train (welcome version) far more often, as it’s my current opening song at my toddler and preschool storytimes. I learned it from my colleague Anna, back when she worked as a children’s librarian too.  I haven’t played the breakfast food song yet, but I’m so excited to try it that I whipped up another quick felt story to go with it.  It should make its storytime debut soon.

Edit: Hello Flannel Friday! This week’s roundup is over here. Details not evident in the picture: The jelly is a separate piece from the toast (but it doesn’t need to be). I made this one mostly freehand so if anyone requests I can scan it and share the pattern.
