What Shall We Do With a Wiggly Toddler

I give you a song I haven’t had a chance to perform in toddlertime yet, but I’m planning to debut when my September storytime session resumes. Back when I did babytimes, I used to sing the very similar “What Shall We Do With a Lazy Baby” where we also tickled, rolled, and heave-hoed the wee little ones up into the air. It was a definite favourite.

I’m sure you can guess that the original song here is “What Shall We Do With a Drunken Sailor.”  You can also play this one with Dm and C.

Beg him to sleep till the sun has risen...
Roll her around and tickle her all over...
Heave ho and up he rises...
